Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation, we present our portfolio of decorative finishes and explore technique and color ideas for your project.

Estimates and Contracts

Following our meeting, you will receive an estimate for the proposed work and a contract. A 30% deposit is required along with a signed contract to schedule your job and begin your custom sample boards. These are created to depict the chosen technique and colors for your individual project. One series of sample boards are produced for no additional charge. The cost of sample boards without a signed contract or deposit is $250 (applicable toward your balance, non-refundable).

Preparation

The rooms are typically prepared for us by a professional painter. The quality of the prep work is essential to the outcome of the wall finish. Therefore, if there are any questions regarding the preparation and base-coating of your surface, please feel free to contact us. Recommendations of painters are available upon request.

Materials

We recognize the importance of Green products and are certified to use an exceptional company called Faux Effects. We use these materials for the majority of our decorative painting and art supplies. Their selections of water-based products produce stunningly beautiful environments. When oil-based prodcuts are favored for an effect, we use air purifiers in your home.

Cost

Due to the complexity and individuality of each decorative finish, prices will vary in accord with the chosen technique. If there is a price range/budget that you would like to maintain, we are happy to accommodate and discuss various options to suit you.

Insurance

Each artist working with Studio Eighteen holds a $3,000,000. general liability insurance policy.
